Helping Families Manage Kids’ Feelings and Behavior
Children of all ages can have strong emotions, which can affect how they act, learn, think and feel. Sometimes their emotions can be tough for them and their families to handle. That’s where we come in. At ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· Children's, our behavioral health experts can help you find the causes of your child’s emotions and behavior.
We offer therapy and counseling in office settings, and through video visits from your home. We also treat children who are in the hospital and dealing with behavioral health issues.
- Your family may see a child psychologist. This is a licensed professional with an advanced degree and special training in children’s mental health issues. Child psychologists cannot prescribe medication.
- Your child may also see a child psychiatrist. This is a medical doctor with special training in children’s mental health. Child psychiatrists can prescribe medication.
- Your child may also see a pediatric neuropsychologist. This is a licensed psychologist with expertise in brain-behavior relationships who conducts evaluations for children with complex medical conditions.
Our psychologists and psychiatrists give kids and families the tools they need to cope with difficult feelings.
We’ll work with your child’s teachers. We’ll also communicate with your pediatrician and any other ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· specialists your child sees. Together, we’ll develop a personalized treatment plan.
