David Hancox, MSN, MHA, RN, NEA-BC, serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing and Patient Operations Officer at ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· Children’s Health, Delaware Valley. A key member of the Delaware Valley Executive Leadership Team, he reports directly to Delaware Valley President Mark Marcantano and Jane Mericle, Executive Vice President and Enterprise Chief Nursing Executive and Patient Operations Officer.</p>\r\n<p>With more than 26 years of dedicated service at ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· Children’s, Dave has consistently demonstrated leadership, innovation, and a deep commitment to nursing excellence. He previously served as Vice President of Acute &amp; Critical Care Services, where he led initiatives that significantly reduced <a href=\"https://www.cdc.gov/clabsi/about/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">CLABSI</a> rates and advanced patient care through innovative models such as virtual nursing. His contributions have been recognized nationally through presentations and publications in peer-reviewed journals.</p>\r\n<p>Dave played a pivotal role in <a href=\"https://nemours.mediaroom.com/news-releases?item=122959\" target=\"_blank\">¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ·â€™ Magnet redesignation</a> efforts and is widely acknowledged for enhancing both nursing practice and patient outcomes. He holds dual master’s degrees in Nursing and Healthcare Administration from Wilmington University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Neumann University.</p>\r\n<p>In his current role, Dave leads nursing and patient care services across the Delaware Valley, working closely with clinical teams, patients, and families to deliver exceptional care. He is responsible for developing and implementing clinical policies, mentoring nursing staff, and advocating for resources that support professional development and high-quality patient care.
