Pediatric Gastroenterology
Digestive Care for Kids
Pediatric gastroenterologists see children who are having problems with their digestive system. U.S. News & World Report ranks our hospital in Delaware as one of the best children’s hospitals in the country for gastroenterology and GI surgery.Â
Doctors, surgeons, therapists and dietitians are all part of the gastroenterology (GI) treatment team.Â
Every year, we see thousands of children with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), such as Crohn’s disease. In fact, we’re part of a nationwide IBD network called ImproveCareNow that’s helped 82% of kids be in remission.Â
We see many other GI conditions too, from celiac disease to problems affecting the esophagus, liver, pancreas and gallbladder.
As a system, ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· is working to redefine children’s health as a basic human right. We want to see all children thrive, in every community across the country.
