    Why I Treat Children

    Pediatric pathology is the branch of medicine that diagnoses in the laboratory all the various diseases found in children and teens (rather than just diseases of a specific organ or system, as in other types of pathology). This fits well with my passion to help children and my interests in congenital/developmental diseases, childhood neoplasms (new and abnormal growth of tissue in some part of the body, often related to cancer) and perinatal pathology (the study of disease just before and after the birth of an infant).
