    Get to Know Me

    Before he came to Jacksonville to head the allergy/immunology team, Dr. Yousef was division chief at ¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ·/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, and department chair at Marshfield Clinic in Wisconsin. He is an avid researcher, reviewer for influential medical journals, and author or co-author of more than 50 peer-reviewed papers and abstracts.

    Why I Treat Children

    I love working in pediatrics. It is such a pleasure to spend time with children. I chose my field originally because I believe that treating illness at an early age can have a lasting impact on a person’s lifelong health.

    What I'm Passionate About

    I strongly believe that the future of medicine lies in two specialties: genetics and immunology. Much more research in these areas is needed; a lot of information is yet to be learned. I’m passionate that all kids get the right diagnosis, especially when the immune system is involved.

    How I Try to Make A Difference

    I try to inspire our team to work together to deliver high quality care and to strive for continuous improvement. I am also dedicated to helping the next generation of healthcare professionals know all they can about allergies and inflammatory and immune system issues. My research investigates ways to improve the overall quality of pediatric health care for every child.
