How We Can Help

Our social workers provide compassionate, professional, and culturally-sensitive assistance to help you cope with your child’s special condition, and get your family on the road to healing. Social Work teams assist our patients and families in a variety of ways:</p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><p><strong>Psychosocial Support</strong></p>\r\n<p>Explaining the condition and treatments, answering questions and talking about your feelings and concerns.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li><p><strong>Case Management</strong></p>\r\n<p>Providing ongoing needs assessment, service coordination, information and referrals and transition to adult care.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li><p><strong>Home Health Care</strong></p>\r\n<p>Coordinating your child’s home health care needs by securing home equipment, providing referrals and assisting with school services.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li><p><strong>Support Groups</strong></p>\r\n<p>Establishing and assisting clinic support groups for parents and youth.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li><p><strong>Counseling and Support</strong></p>\r\n<p>Providing talk therapy and coping strategies and making mental<br>\r\nhealth assessments.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li><p><strong>Community Liaison Services</strong></p>\r\n<p>Identify state and federal programs and access non-profit services<br>\r\nas needed.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n"}} id=text-8335e89fdb class=cmp-text>
